A customer of a McDonald’s in the northwest of Paris who had discovered a dead lizard in her hamburger in 2021 is suing the multinational.

The 38-year-old had found the reptile between the beef and the bun in her burger following ordering her meal via the app UberEats.
According to the media “Ouest-France”, the client is of the opinion that the cook would have seen the lizard strewn on the hamburger.
“I felt there was something odd when I took a bite of the sandwich. The cook, by adding the sauce, must have seen the reptile, ”she says.
She claims to have gone with her friend to the restaurant to report the misadventure.
“I got the impression that the restaurant was not surprised at all. The cook was behind and at no time did he come to see us,” she adds.
To accommodate him, the franchise offered him a 10% discount on his next order.
The first hearing on this rather unprecedented case will be held in February 2023.
