The media office of Sheikh Hamoudi stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Sheikh Hammam Hamoudi, President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, received on Friday in his office in Baghdad Ahmed Al-Safadi, Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, and during the meeting they discussed the relationship between the two countries, and the importance of Enhancing the positive attitudes between the two brotherly peoples by reflecting the Jordanian official position on the popular positions, as a starting point that enhances cooperation in the economic fields, the establishment of industrial cities, and the development of religious tourism in Jordan.
He added, “The meeting also witnessed a discussion of developments in the political scene at the regional and international levels, and an emphasis on the need for a regional position that rejects the Zionist entity and supports the Palestinian cause.”
