Sheikh Khazali and Safadi stress the importance of activating parliamentary relations between Iraq and Jordan

The Secretary-General of the League of the Righteous, Sheikh Qais Khazali, and the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi, stressed today, Thursday, the importance of activating parliamentary relations between Iraq and Jordan.

Sheikh Khazali’s office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Secretary-General of the League of the Righteous, Sheikh Qais Khazali, received in his office in Baghdad, today, the Speaker of the Jordanian Parliament, Ahmed Al-Safadi, and his accompanying delegation of members of the Jordanian parliament.”
He added, “During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues and files of common interest to the two brotherly peoples of Iraq and Jordan, and the importance of activating and developing parliamentary relations because of their great positive impact on the two neighboring countries.”
And Sheikh Khazali expressed his “support for the security and stability of Jordan and all countries in the region,” noting that “security cannot be divided, as security in Jordan means security in Iraq.”
For his part, Safadi thanked Sheikh Khazali’s welcome to the Jordanian parliamentary delegation, expressing his satisfaction with “Sheikh Khazali’s deep and broad political horizon in understanding the political situation and its complexities in the region,” according to the text of the statement.
