Chinese manufacturer BYD and Shell EV Charging Solutions aim to offer at least 100,000 customers with BYD battery and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in Europe convenient and reliable access to Shell charging stations. Customers receive an exclusive platinum membership in the Shell Recharge network, which enables discounted charging at Shell’s fast and ultra-fast DC charging stations. BYD drivers get access to more than 300,000 charging points across Europe at Shell petrol stations, mobility hubs, supermarkets and street locations, as well as one of Europe’s largest roaming networks.
Shell Fleet Solutions also offers fleet management products and services to business customers with BYD fleets. This includes the Hybrid Shell Card, which covers a unified payment solution for billing conventional as well as alternative low-carbon fuels and charging EVs. (awm)
