The remains of the Colombian doctor were found thanks to some waste collection workers. These employees are said to have found a black bag at the Koh Phangan dump site containing intestines and a pelvis. After performing tests, these remains matched the identity of Edwin Arrieta.
The newspaper 20 Minutos collects the statements that many of the witnesses have given in Thailand. They say that the couple met on Instagram a year ago and that since then they had a relationship.
