Shopping While Saving, Bank Saqu Launches Tabungmatic – 2024-03-10 08:34:35

BANK Saqu, a digital banking service from PT Bank Jasa Jakarta, launched a tubematic program with interest of 10% per year. This latest feature will round up QRIS transactions, allowing customers to save change automatically.

Chief Business Digital Officer of PT Bank Jasa Jakarta, Angela Lew Dermawan, said tubematic is one of Bank Saqu’s superior products which can convert change from every transaction using QRIS into savings automatically.

“We realize that saving is something that is very difficult for every individual to do. Therefore, with the tubematic feature, we want to encourage the habit of saving automatically to become a positive and enjoyable habit,” he said in a press release, Thursday (7/3 ).

He explained that the small change savings would be kept in the booster pocket with an interest rate of 10% per year with terms and conditions applying.

“It is hoped that Saqu Bank’s innovation can help every individual to be able to manage their finances properly and with discipline,” added Angela.

This feature is used by first activating the tubematic feature in the Saqu Bank application. The customer then determines the desired rounding value, starting from IDR 5,000, IDR 10,000 and IDR 50,000.

As an illustration, for example, a customer chooses a rounding amount of IDR 50,000. When a customer makes a transaction at one of the merchants using QRIS in the Saqu Bank application for IDR 13,500, the transaction value which was originally only IDR 13,500 will be rounded up to IDR 50,000. The difference of IDR 36,500 will go into the booster’s pocket with interest of 10% per year.

Not only that, customers who activate the tubematic feature will have the opportunity to get cashback of up to IDR 1 million and also 50 Honda Scoopy motorbikes. This program is valid from March 1, 2024 to May 31, 2024.

More than 43% of Bank Saqu’s customers are aged 20-30 years with demographics domiciled in the Jabodetabek, Bandung and Surabaya areas.

“Saqu Bank targets the younger generation, especially solopreneurs in Indonesia, including small business owners, freelancers and permanent employees with additional work,” explained Angela.

This segment is proactively looking for ways to grow, save more, invest more, or even take out loans for productive endeavors, to achieve more positive things in the future.

In the future, Bank Saqu will continue to focus on improving services, expanding programs and features to reach more customers throughout Indonesia. Currently the number of Bank Saqu customers is 500,000 since its launch four months ago. (N-2)
