Until August 20, Arte has chosen a theme for its summer programming: brothers and sisters. A vast subject for a varied program, between AC/DC or INXS concerts, fictions (Rain Man, O’Brother), but also documentaries on famous siblings. In addition to a few legendary duos or trios, it is also an opportunity to discover personalities in the shadow of a member of their family, such as Solange. Beyoncé, perhaps the most famous musical artist of the time, really needs no introduction. His sister, also a singer, enjoys a good reputation and sees her soul and R&B albums acclaimed by critics. But it does not pass so much on the radio, is not as well known to the general public. However, in terms of talent, she has nothing to envy to her elder. To retrace the journey of the two sisters, the team of this documentary went to Houston, Texas, their city of origin, to discover their neighborhood, meet those who saw them grow up, such as their singing teacher or relatives of the family.
