A fire broke out in the waste incineration plant in Bergheim-Siggerwiesen on Friday night. A pile of wood had started to burn. 42 firefighters quickly got the fire under control.
Shortly following 2 a.m., the Bergheim fire brigade was alerted to a fire at the SAB company. According to the emergency services, the security service had set off the alarm. At 4.30 a.m. the fire might be extinguished. The Bergheim, Muntigl and Voggenbeg fire brigade trains were deployed with 42 people.
