From a challenge can sometimes be born the best. Agnès and Éric Tardy have made it their credo at the head of Simone in Bordeaux. Their costume jewelry brand was created in 2019, while Agnès was fighting double breast cancer. During this difficult period, to forget the treatments, she created colorful bracelets made of enameled beads. Her friends liked them and she started selling them on the Etsy platform, where they were very successful. The brand was born with a first website and everyone was requisitioned at home to thread pearls and meet demand, which was no easy feat.

With confinement in 2020, driven by great communication, Simone in Bordeaux is experiencing strong growth. Agnès abandons her self-employed status and joins forces with Éric to develop the company which employs around ten employees today. The production of jewelry is now done in Asia, the Esat where they were assembled no longer being able to keep up with demand. But the Tardy couple wants to give meaning to their activity. The pink collection is sold each year for the benefit of Pink October. And part of the profits are donated to Wings of the ocean.
