Follow-up – Jawdat Nasri

“Windows” followed a policy of creating a unique identifier for each user on the device, with the aim of allowing services to identify the owner of the device and provide distinctive ads to him, which enables application developers and ad networks to use to serve their own purposes, for example linking the personal data they collect about you with the identifier and use that personal data to deliver their advertisements accordingly.

How to disable identifier in Windows 11

According to “support.microsoft”, the identifier setting applies to Windows applications that specifically use the Windows identifier, and Microsoft also displays other forms of that indicate interest in some company products, whether directly or indirectly, and in case you want to stop the identifier your ad in Windows 11, follow these steps:

Go to Start, you can also press Windows + I keys, then Settings.

Click on Privacy & security, then click on General.

Note: You can choose your preferred setting to allow applications to show the ads you want, and doing the previous steps does not guarantee that you will turn off the identifier, but rather it will automatically reduce the number of ads you see and will determine the most important ads from the least important.
