Singapore’s First Woman Execution in Two Decades: Saridevi Jamani’s Case

Singapore is regarding to execute a woman for the first time in twenty years. Saridevi Jamani (45), who was jailed in a drug case, will be sentenced this week. They were arrested with 30 grams of heroin in 2018. The death sentence of a person who was found to be in possession of 50 grams of heroin was carried out the other day. Possession or trafficking of more than 15 grams of heroin or more than half a kilo of cannabis is a punishable offense in Singapore. Read on deshabhimani.com
