Sitel is organizing the 4th edition of its solidarity caravan under the banner “Libass du Cœur”

Casablanca – Concerned about the difficult conditions for the education of children in mountainous regions, Sitel organized the 4th edition of its solidarity caravan, on December 24 and 25 in the Chefchaouen region in order to support families in the most isolated regions to maintain the their children’s education.

As part of Sitel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, this “Libass du Cœur” initiative targeted children and families in precarious situations, the company said in a press release.

Thus, more than 200 students in several douars of the communes of Bab Barade, Ifrtan, Talamoussa, have benefited from multiple donations, adds the same source.

In addition to warm clothes (boots, parkas, pullovers, etc.) and blankets, the children also received equipment for fitting out football and basketball fields, in order to enable them to exercise sports.

The goal is to enable children from poor families to face the severe cold that rages in mountainous regions during winter, underlines Sitel.

“Aware of the importance of education in human development, through this action we want to help families who are struggling to ensure the education of their children and thus contribute to the fight against dropping out of school in isolated areas”, Sitel Human Resources Director Ilham Mouhriz said in the statement.

“It is also an opportunity to create a communication bridge between all the workforce, to federate them around an action of general interest and to anchor values ​​of solidarity within the company”, she added, noting that the ultimate goal is to allow employees to be proud ambassadors of their belonging to the company.

To finance this action, Sitel organized a fundraising campaign between November 15 and December 15, 2021.

An amount of more than 151,000 dirhams was collected thanks to the strong mobilization of Sitel teams. Indeed, the administration and employees have federated their energies in order to “put balm in the heart of the target populations”, indicates Sitel.

Thanks to the mobilization of all the company’s teams and volunteers, this caravan aroused great interest among the target populations. This motivated the organization of multiple animation activities and workshops for children.

In addition, the solidarity caravan of Sitel was not limited to the province of Chefchouen. In addition to the 200 students served from the municipalities of Bab Bard, Ifrtan, Talamoussa, children from other regions have also benefited from donations.

Thus, 50 children were able to receive aid in Imzer, 50 in Benslimane and 50 others in the southern provinces, should in turn benefit from it.

In addition, a donation of wheelchairs was intended for an association dedicated to disabled people in Casablanca.

Building on the success of this operation, Sitel aims to reiterate this type of initiative, with a view to optimizing the conditions for the education of children in isolated regions.
