A six-year-old girl was the collateral victim of a police chase that took place Friday near Minneapolis, United States.
Authorities were trying to catch the murder suspect who had fled by car.
The police tried to stop the man by slashing his tires, which led the suspect to rush into another vehicle with five people, including the young girl. She succumbed to her injuries, authorities said.
A 15-year-old girl remains in hospital; his state of health was not specified by the police. The other three occupants of the car were treated and discharged from hospital.
The suspect was arrested and taken to hospital.
