Mikaela Shiffrin demonstrated her dance skills most recently in a Tiktok video with her partner Aleksander Kilde. Now the skier goes one better. The 28-year-old appears at the microphone in a bar, together with country star Dierks Bentley. This was as part of a fundraising campaign by the US ski team.
The fans are thrilled. “Is there something she can’t do?” asks one user. It goes on to say: “That just sounds great,” or “Your voice is unique.” Country singer Bentley is also thrilled. «I wish I could ski half as well as you sing! It was very funny.” The event was also worthwhile from a financial perspective – around one million francs were raised.
The new ski season begins in just over a month with the giant slalom in Sölden. The most successful skier in history with 88 World Cup victories is also considered the big favorite for the overall World Cup and several small crystal balls next winter.
