A leak of images could reveal a lot of content from Skull & Bones, the pirate game thatUbisoft announced to take advantage of the popularity of the boat phases of one of their Assassin’s Creed.
Ubisoft has confirmed that the leaked video is indeed real, and although it has been taken down from multiple platforms, it has been pulled for repost multiple times. It probably comes from the new beta of the game.
The statement made was as follows:
We can confirm that this is a preview of our next game Skull & Bones. Recently we performed a technical test for the game and some details have been made public. This video footage was taken from an early version of the game and does not reflect the quality and features of the final game. We will share more details about the game soon.
Skull & Bones, announced in 2017, suffered from many major obstacles. This helped put the game in a state of “ development hell » due to issues with Ubisoft Singapore, the developer of this title. This includes, for example, the departure of the associate director from the project, but also an investigation by a monitoring group following complaints of sexual harassment and discrimination.

The leak was posted on Streamable and has since been deleted. Some of those who saw it said that it was a gameplay tutorial for testers to explain the game system to them.
It also shows how the player can progress in the game by accepting contracts to level up, and how he can build and customize his ships. This same video has also been confirmed by Ubisoft as real.
The game’s developers also took advantage of the little attention paid to Skull & Bones. On Twitter, they hinted at some upcoming news for the game.
As mentioned earlier, the game went through many issues and hurdles during its development. This is why Ubisoft has shown very little of it since its 2017 announcement, 5 years ago.
Quite recently they also publicly stated that the game should be released between April 2022 and March 2023.
