Nintendo Switch 2 users will get a fully remade version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5, 2026, featuring integrated microphone controls and companion app tasks, as gnn.gamer.com.tw reported.
Ren Meguro Stars in Three Distinct Commercial Spots
Ren Meguro takes center stage in a trio of promotional videos released by Nintendo on October 29. The campaign splits into adventure, puzzle, and combat segments to capture his genuine reactions while playing the upcoming release. In the opening clip, Meguro guides young Link through the initial fields of Hyrule, humming familiar tunes and talking directly to the screen. The puzzle segment shifts toward classic series mechanics, showing Meguro pausing to solve environmental roadblocks. The combat sequence ramps up the stakes when a formidable enemy appears on screen, prompting visible panic from the performer.
Series Origins Meet Nintendo Switch 2 Hardware
The original title launched back in 1998 for the Nintendo 64 platform as the first entry in the franchise to use fully rendered three-dimensional graphics. Players stepped into the boots of Link alongside Navi the fairy to protect the kingdom from ruin. For this upcoming release, Nintendo rebuilt the assets from scratch to mark the fortieth anniversary of the franchise. Beyond graphical updates, the software integrates with the console’s built-in microphone so users can physically hum melodies to play the ocarina in the game.
Companion Integration and Future Release Plans
The software also links to the Nintendo Switch App via a dedicated service called ZELDA NOTES. This accompanying application logs daily playthrough records and offers rumor-based photographic quests inside the virtual world. The game arrives with traditional Chinese language support included out of the box. Nintendo posted the full ad campaign across its official Japanese web portal and YouTube channel ahead of the launch.
