At least 22 people have been killed in a snowstorm in Mari, Pakistan. Thousands of vehicles are stranded in the area. The rescue squad was called to the scene, officials said. Heavy snowfall has lashed the northern province of Mari since Thursday evening.
Allied departments had warned that snow was still present and the visit should be avoided. But despite the warnings, more and more tourists are flocking to the area. Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that this is the first time in the last 20 years that so many tourists have visited Mary.

The region has been experiencing heavy snowfall for the past two days. Many tourists came to Mary to see the snow. More than one lakh cars have arrived in the region in the last two days, local media reported. Scenes of cars getting stuck were also circulating on social media.
