Two citizens were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Service in Uíge, including the assistant chief of the village of Kimpembe, municipality of Bungo, for murdering a young man, using a machete, after being caught in the act stealing cassava.
The Criminal Investigation Service in Uíge, through the Municipal Department of Bungo, arrested two citizens, aged 64 and 58, respectively, including the Deputy Soba of the Kimpembe village, in that municipality, accused of the crime of homicide .
The victim, Alberto Figueiredo, 31 years old, died at the scene after failing to resist the attacks perpetrated by the accused. According to SIC-Uíge spokesperson, Zacarias Fernando, in an interview with the newspaper OPAÍS, Alberto Figueiredo was caught by the killers stealing some quantities of cassava from a farm, where he was tortured with a machete.
His body was disfigured due to several machete blows in different regions. The spokesperson confirmed that the victim lost his life at the scene of the incident and the accused have already been present to the judge to formalize their arrest.
