Solar storm could leave the planet without internet, according to Nasa | Trends

Experts have warned regarding the possibility of a strong solar storm impacting the Earth for several days, starting on July 19. This, according to NASA, might cause interruptions in the planet’s communications signal.

This “direct hit”, as NASA catalogs it, would be formed from a “serpent-shaped filament” coming from the sun, which would cause sunspots on the disk that is oriented towards the Earth’s atmospheric space.

It is worth noting that this would not be the first time this has happened. On July 3 there was a temporary blackout of radio waves in the Atlantic, due to a solar storm.
