The organization confirmed that such countries suddenly found themselves in front of a clear rise in the number of injuries.
As the director of the European branch of the World Organization, Hans Kluge, explained in a press conference held in Moldova, on Tuesday, that he is “vigilant” to the current epidemiological situation on the continent, stressing that he remains “optimistic.”

These developments came amid warnings from the organization about the seriousness of the situation, especially with the monitoring of new sub-strains of Omicron.
The organization confirmed that it is too early to declare victory over the pandemic, noting that it monitors the BA.1, BA.2 and BA.3 strains located under the Omicron umbrella, including the BA.2 mutant, which has been monitored in about 50 countries in the world.
Half the population of the continent is threatened!
It is noteworthy that Kluge had announced at the beginning of this year that more than half of the population of the European continent was threatened with infection with the Omicron mutant from the Corona virus.
The organization’s experts also warned that only giving booster doses of the vaccine is not a viable strategy in the face of emerging mutants, and they called for new vaccines that better protect against transmission.
