Sonic 2 leads the North American box office

Thanks to his new opus, the blue hedgehog Sonic darkened this weekend to first place in the North American box office, according to provisional figures from the specialized firm Exhibitor Relations published on Sunday.

Sonicinspired by the video game of the same name, steals the show from the vampire Morbiusumpteenth superhero film from the Marvel universe, in 2^e place in the North American box office with just over $10 million collected.

The feature film with Jared Leto in the title role narrates the horrors of Doctor Michael Morbius, a scientist suffering from an incurable disease, who will become a vampire in spite of himself by injecting himself with a serum made from bat DNA. and will not be able to prevent himself from killing to drink the blood of his victims.

In third place on the podium, The Lost City, an action film mixed with romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, with more than 9 million dollars.

Then comes Ambulance, remake of a Danish film of the same name which for its release raised some 8.7 million dollars.

Another Batman movie, The Batmanretracing the dark adventures of the masked vigilante with Robert Pattinson, places him in fifth position with 6.5 million dollars.
