Many new releases these days require beastly PCs to run on Ultra settings and get 60fps. However, Children of the Forest recently revealed the PC specs you’ll need to play the game when it launches on February 23, and they don’t appear to be asking too much.
Children of the Forest Minimum Requirements It’s an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3300X, 12GB of RAM and either an Nvidia GeForce 1060 3GB or an AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB.
For the recommended setup, you’ll need more powerful gear, but again we don’t see the most expensive parts needed. For processors, Children of the Forest requires either an Intel Core i7-8700K or an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X. You’ll also need 16GB of RAM for these increased setups, along with an Nvidia GeForce 1080Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT.
You’ll also need 20GB of SSD or HDD space for either setup, although the former is preferred. While these specs are still unplayable for some, they’re much less demanding than some other games we’ve seen recently.
