Sony revealed the updated PlayStation 5 Slim platforms, which come in two models that are approximately 30% smaller in size compared to previous PlayStation 5 platforms, and 24% lighter in weight. The first model comes with a detachable disk drive, while the other model comes completely digital, and if the second model is purchased, the user can later purchase an additional disk drive, which Sony will sell for approximately $80. Additional stands for these platforms can also be purchased to attach them to vertical stands, and they will be sold for approximately $30. Also, both models of PlayStation 5 Slim platforms are equipped with a dual USB-C port on the front instead of the USB-C and USB-A ports that were in previous PlayStation models.
