Sony has introduced the new Xperia 5 IV with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, three 12 megapixel lenses (MP) and a 5,000 mAh battery that will arrive in Spain at a price of 1,049 euros.
The Japanese company has unveiled its latest ‘smartphone’ within the framework of the IFA 2022 held in Berlin (Germany). This is the fourth generation of this high-end phone.
The new Xperia 5 IV has a 6.1-inch OLED panel, FullHD + resolution, support for HDR and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This screen is made of glass Corning Gorilla Glass for greater resistance and is certified IP65/68 waterproof and dustproof.
At the camera level, it integrates a 12 MP front lens and three lenses at the rear: main, wide angle and telephoto. All of them also 12 MP and with optical image stabilizer (OISfor its acronym in English), in the case of the main and telephoto.
Sony has highlighted that its new ‘smartphone’ is capable of recording in 4K at 120 frames per second (FPS) and includes features such as active subject tracking.
Within the sound section, the Xperia 5 IV incorporates stereo speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos. They integrate the technology 360 Reality Audio, to provide surround sound, and DSEE Ultimatewhich uses Artificial Intelligence (IA) to more accurately convert compressed music to higher quality.
For gamer users, the screen of the new Xperia has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and the application Game Enhancer, which allows you to customize the game settings to your needs. In addition, it also includes the function Live Streaming to broadcast live the games of the device.
Sony Xperia 5 IV incorporates a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. In addition, it has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1TB using a Micro SDXC card.
The device comes with a 5,000mAh battery and offers 30W fast charging with support for wireless charging. In the connectivity section, it is a 5G smartphone with support for WiFi 6 that also includes a 3.5 mm jack port.
With a total weight of 172 grams, the Sony Xperia 5 IV will arrive in Spain in mid-September in three colors: black, raw white and green. Its launch price will be 1,049 euros.
