For example, in defence, AI can quickly and accurately analyze intelligence data, helping to make strategic decisions. In cybersecurity, AI can proactively identify and respond to cyber threats and attacks.
However, countries face numerous challenges in their pursuit of sovereign AI. These challenges include the need for huge investments in research and development, and a global shortage of specialized talent and expertise in the field of artificial intelligence. In addition, international cooperation is important for the exchange of knowledge and experiences, although countries strive to achieve sovereignty in this area.
To achieve sovereign AI, countries must develop the necessary infrastructure, support research and innovation, build international strategic partnerships, develop national talent, and establish a regulatory and ethical framework to ensure that AI is used in a responsible and transparent manner. An ethical framework is particularly important to ensure that AI technologies are not used in ways that conflict with human values and rights.
Sovereign AI represents a fundamental pillar of national security and economic development in the digital age.
