Ras Al Khaimah, August 9, 2020, WAM / Emirates Club announced the signing of the Spanish football legend, Andreas Iniesta, to represent the club’s first football team in the current season 2023-2024.
This came during a press conference held by the Board of Directors of the Emirates Club Company at the Intercontinental Hotel Ras Al Khaimah, in the presence of Youssef Al-Batran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club, Chairman of the Football Company, and members of the Board of Directors and the company.
Yousef Al-Batran, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Club and Chairman of the Football Company, thanked the wise leadership for its support for sports and athletes in the country, and His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, for his continuous support for the club and for sports in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, stressing that His Highness’s interest, follow-up and directives are the basis Our work is the source of our enthusiasm and our desire to provide everything that contributes to the development of the Emirates Club.
He also thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, for his support and interest in sports in the emirate, which enabled athletes to present achievements that raise the name of the emirate in various forums, praising the interest and follow-up and role of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr. Al Qasimi in the Emirates Club and thanked him for his trust and support for them, which facilitated the work and upgrading it to the best.
Al-Batran welcomed the international star, Iniesta, and stated that they are happy to have him in the UAE League first and in the Emirates Club second, which enhances the status and value of our league and draws more attention to it.
For his part, the player Iniesta expressed his hope to make a mark with the Emirates Club and the ADNOC League, stressing that he and his family enjoy visiting the Emirates, expressing his confidence that they will be happy to stay there.
