The media group Axel Springer (“Bild”, “Welt24”) is launching its US media brand “Politico” in Germany. The political magazine is to cooperate with the Berlin media start-up Pioneer of the former “Handelsblatt” editor-in-chief Gabor Steingart. Springer holds a 35.9 percent stake in Steingart’s founding of Media Pioneer Publishing AG.
