Palakkad: Police raid SDPI Palakkad district committee office in connection with the murder of RSS leader Srinivasan. The inspection was carried out by a team led by Palakkad DySP PC Haridas.
The day before, police had raided SDPI centers in Pattambi. Homes and party offices were raided.
Karandu was also arrested in the case. The arrests included the accused who was directly involved in the crime. Abdul Khader (Iqbal 34), a native of Nayampadam, 9th Mile, Mundur, and Fayaz, 34, a native of Chatanamkurussi, Palakkad were arrested.
Srinivasan was killed by a group of six men in three two-wheelers on April 16 in Melamuri. Of these, 3 went into the shop and hacked Srinivasan. The investigation revealed that Abdul Qadir was riding a white scooter in the two-wheeler in which the killers arrived. The scooter was found by the police yesterday.
