Sri Lanka vs Australia Test | Dedication to Shane Warne; Vaughan’s family invited to Sri Lanka-Australia Test series

Colombo: Test series in memory of Australian spin legend Shane Warne. The cricket boards of both the countries have decided to dedicate the two-Test series between Sri Lanka and Australia (SL vs AUS) in Galle to Shane Warne in June. His family will also be special guests at the series, which will be dedicated to Vaughn.

The Sri Lankan cricket board has accepted a joint invitation from the country’s tourism and sports ministries to allow Warne’s family to attend the series, the Daily Mirror reported. Sri Lankan Tourism Minister Harin Fernando and the Cricket Australia CEO have confirmed that Warne’s family will be attending the series.

The two-match Test series will be played in Galle from June 29 to July 12. The first match will be played from June 29 to July 3 and the second match will be played from July 8 to 12.

Apart from Tests, Australia will also play ODI and T20 series as part of their tour of Sri Lanka. They won the T20 series 2-1 against Sri Lanka. Both the teams are gearing up for the ODI series which starts on June 14 in Pallakela. The five-match ODI series will be played between the two teams.
