Al-Marsad Newspaper: Social media activists circulated a video clip of a Sri Lankan couple who mastered the dialect of the people of Qassim, where they revealed the reason that forced them to return to their country.

The Sri Lankan wife, who is called Fatima, said that the reasons for her return to her country are that her mother’s residency has expired and her daughter has school fees as well as her residency fees.

She added that she did not have a job, so she thought of returning to her country, believing that the situation would be better, but she confirmed, saying: “Our involvement and conditions in Saudi Arabia were much better.”

And Fatima added: “If you are Sri Lankans, you do not come to Sri Lanka, and your solitude in Saudi Arabia will be fair to you. There is nothing like it in Saudi Arabia.”

For his part, the husband, Fahd, said: “I had a job and I had an income, but it was not enough for four people, so I decided to go back. I expected that my English and Arabic would benefit me in Sri Lanka, but on the day of Gina, I was rejected in all interviews.”

In conclusion, the story of this Sri Lankan couple highlights the challenges faced by expatriates in foreign countries. Despite mastering the dialect of Saudi Arabia’s Qassim region, the couple had to return to their home country due to financial constraints and other personal reasons. However, as Fatima indicated, life in Saudi Arabia was much better for them. This story also emphasizes the importance of stable employment and adequate income, particularly for those supporting a family. As we navigate these difficult times, we must continue to extend compassion and support to those who have had to make tough choices and sacrifices for the wellbeing of their loved ones.
