Today, Friday, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the start of the requirement to register the biometric characteristics “fingerprint” to issue the “Umrah” visa electronically for those coming to Makkah Al-Mukarramah from Britain, Tunisia, Kuwait, Bangladesh and Malaysia.
She emphasized that the aim of registration is to facilitate entry procedures through the Kingdom’s ports, and to enrich the digital experience of pilgrims, indicating the steps for registering these characteristics.
She mentioned that registering this fingerprint is by downloading the (Saudi Visa Bio) application for smart phones, determining the type of visa, instant reading of the passport, taking a picture of the face from the front camera and matching it with the personal picture in the passport, and scanning the ten fingerprints electronically through the camera.
