“ICON-O-STASYS” raises expectations and draws attention to a new point on the cultural map of Lithuania that will soon open its doors. “The symbol ‘O’ can mean a face depicted in the style of Stasios, perhaps an eye – particularly significant elements in Stasios’ work,” says Lina Albrikienė, curator of exhibitions at the museum, commenting on the intriguing name.

According to her, in the first exhibition of the museum, the leitmotif of S.Eidrigevičius’s work will accompany the visitors in time and space.

“The entire first floor of the museum is dedicated to the moments of the biography of S.Eidrigevičius, it will introduce the audience to the timeline of the artist’s work. On the second floor, visitors will be greeted by a permanent exposition of the creator, where almost all creative techniques mastered by the artist will be presented. The third floor is particularly modern. It will consist of media artworks and a changing exposition of S.Eidrigevičius”, the curator reveals.

“At bus stops, I open my sketchbook, pick up a pencil or pen, and draw a line to remember what’s important to me,” shares Stasys, encoding multiple meanings into one sentence, as in what he calls one-line drawings.
