The next update is scheduled to be a technical patch 0.13.0.5. Among the large number of fixes are the following:
- Fixes in the work of flashlights and the display of light from them on weapons;
- Processing the display of the sky in all locations;
- Many fixes and improvements that relate to sound;
- Correction of incorrect movements of bots in the prone position.
Next, the engine should switch to the Unity 2021 version. The developers note that this will allow the introduction of new technologies for optimizing and updating graphics. Support for HDR technology will appear, and the game will reduce the consumption of RAM resources.
In technical path 0.13.1.0 Fundamental changes are about to take place that will affect optimization, client connectivity, and other aspects. The following improvements are noted:
- Gradual increase in players and bots in the raid up to 60;
- Improved hit registration;
- Noticeable increase in frame rate in online raids;
- Network connection optimization;
- Improved rendering system for translucent objects.
Players will also be waiting for a major content update 0.14.0.0. It will not only rework and expand the old mechanics, but also add a lot of new ones. The emphasis in the plan is on:
- Expansion of the streets of Tarkov, the appearance of armored personnel carriers and a new boss on them;
- Processing of affected areas and the appearance of armor plates;
- The appearance of equipment presets;
- Shooting from the left shoulder;
- Depreciation of mufflers and change of a sound by filters;
- Rebalance of quests, levels, skills and other elements;
- Expansion of the Vault;
- Interface redesign;
- New weapons: AK-12, PKM, RPD, (A)SVT, 9A-91 and grenade launcher for SCAR;
- Much more.
