Steam pre-orders get Dead Space 2 for free

At the end of January, EA and the Motive development studio are once again loading the USG Ishimura with the remake of Dead Space. If you haven’t booked a ticket yet, you now get at least one more small incentive.

Those who pre-order the Dead Space Remake on Steam will also receive it Dead Space 2 free addition. The offer applies not only to new pre-orders, but also to those who have already accessed it.

Dead Space Remake: Auf Steam mit gratis Dead Space 2

The emphasis is particularly on the word “pre-order”, because only then does the offer take effect. If you only press the purchase price on the release date of the Dead Space Remake, January 27, 2023, you will not receive the predecessor or actual successor, purely from the point of view of the story, in addition to it.

Interestingly, the offer is apparently so far only for the Steam-Version. There is no indication on the EA app, PlayStation Network or Xbox Store that pre-orderers will get a copy of Dead Space 2 for free.

Anyone who takes advantage of the offer should at least be aware that the remake and Dead Space 2 separate twelve years of development history from each other. The sequel around the protagonist Isaac Clarke was released in 2011 and taught players around the world the fear of space. Among many fans, the second part is still the favorite of the trilogy.

More than just graphical improvements

The remake of the first Dead Spaces, on the other hand, is designed for modern systems and was developed from scratch. The developers have not only completely revised the graphics and the sound, as can be seen in trailers, but have also made changes to the content. Among other things, protagonist Isaac Clarke can now speak and there are more side stories to discover.

Incidentally, if the remake is successful, it is conceivable that EA will also give the successors a corresponding general overhaul. However, this has not yet been officially announced, although the developers have already expressed interest.
