The Franco-Italian-American automotive group born in early 2021 from the merger of Peugeot-Citroën and Fiat-Chrysler records a first record year with 13.4 billion euros in profits, despite falling production with the shortage of semiconductors .

It’s a very good year for Stellantis, with a turnover of 152 billion euros. That is an increase of 14%, compared to the combined data of the two groups, in 2020.

The manufacturer delivered more than six million vehicles last year. Declining production, as the automotive sector faces a global shortage of semiconductors. In addition to these shortages, the group also faced a rise in raw material prices.

A profit-sharing bonus for some of the employees

In Europe, its main market, sales fell 3%, but Stellantis managed to sidestep part of the problem by raising the price of electric cars. In North America, sales also fell 2%, but the manufacturer rebounded thanks to the excellent results of its two brands Jeep and Ram.

On the strength of these very good figures, the group announced a profit-sharing bonus of more than 4,000 euros for some of the French employees. As well as a 3% increase for all workers.
