SC, a 43-year-old woman originally from the province of Udine, who from initial information was a simple acquaintance of the victim, was arrested for the murder. After committing the crime, the woman contacted 112, reporting that she had killed the man. In a nearby house, the man’s now lifeless body was found, which had numerous stab wounds.

The investigations carried out by the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Udine, coordinated and directed on site by prosecutor Andrea Gondolo, deputy prosecutor of Udine, made it possible to reconstruct the events that culminated in the murder inside the house, where the inspections were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Survey Section. The woman, in the presence of her lawyer, availed herself of the right not to answer the questions of the public prosecutor, who then issued a detention order against the suspect. After the photo-signalling operations, the stop was conducted in the Trieste prison. Investigations are still underway to determine the motive and exact dynamics of the crime.
