Strategies of a strong stutterer – Society is the problem

I also stuttered as a child. Not strong and only in between. A few hours with a speech therapist helped, meanwhile I only have a small hangover every few months, which is more likely to be situation-related. The New York Times met someone who stuttered pretty badly ever since he could talk. John Hendrickson explains us some techniques that help him to cope with everyday life, which unfortunately seems to be shaped primarily by impatience and a lack of empathy in our day and age.
