Strava launches a messaging function in its app. The first version allows live exchanges as well as the creation of group conversations. With this integration into the app you can share a suggested itinerary in order to submit it for example to other participants for advice. Classic messaging functions such as reactions to a comment or sending gifs are included.

The settings allow you to limit the reception of messages to the circle of people to whom you are subscribed, to extend it to mutual subscribers or, on the contrary, to block any reception of a message or an invitation.
Through this messaging, Strava may have found a good way for its users to come to its app to prepare for their outings rather than finding themselves first in any other communication app. It is also an opportunity to encourage those who belong to a group of athletes but who have not yet considered it useful to add this app to their equipment to register.
