«Christian»
With “Christian” it all starts with two bloody holes in the hands – or at least it’s the beginning of a new life for the eponymous main character.
We look back: When Christian (Edoardo Pesce) is not taking care of his demented mother Italia (Lina Sastri), he is working for the mafia boss Lino (Giordano De Plano).

He collects money for him, and Christian often breaks the debtors’ arms. He would like to do something else, but no matter how hard he tries, his job is pretty hopeless: he’s been trying to climb the mafia network for a long time – without success.
Actually, Christian is Lino’s assistant, but when an inexplicable pain suddenly spreads in his hands and two bloody holes form, he can no longer do his tasks as usual.
Christian’s new gift
In return, he discovers a new gift. By just touching her hand, Christian can revive his drug-addicted neighbor Rachele (Silvia D’Amico) after an overdose.
For Lino it is clear: Christian’s newly acquired healing powers must remain secret – but it is becoming increasingly difficult to hide them, and soon the Vatican takes notice of Christian.

«Faraway»
When has one seen enough to leave? This is the question Zeynep (Naomi Krauss) asks himself, who is at the limit. She will soon be 50, overworked and not appreciated by her family.
When her mother dies and Zeynep’s husband Ilyas (Adnan Maral) is unfaithful, Zeynep finally realizes that she has to go.
Fresh start in Croatia
So she travels from Munich to Croatia, where Zeynep’s mother surprisingly left her a holiday home. There is a great view of the sea, but no electricity. What she also did not expect: The house is not empty, but is inhabited by Josip (Goran Bogdan).
Netflix describes the film as “by women, for women”, it was mainly produced by a female crew: behind it are director Vanessa Jopp, screenwriter Jane Ainscough and camerawoman Eva Katharina Bühler.
