Street Fighter 6 logo would have left image bank

After anticipating its premiere with a countdownFinally capcom announced Street Fighter 6. While the arrival of a new installment of the famous fighting series got fans excited, part of the conversation on social media revolved around the logo. The reason? Which is extraordinarily generic, so much so that according to a graphic designer, Capcom bought it from an Adobe image bank for $80.

This was pointed out on Twitter by a user identified as @Aurich, who in turn presents himself as a graphic designer and creative director of the portal Ars Technica.

The new Street Fighter 6 logo is $80 on Adobe’s Stock site

I don’t even know what to say. I knew it was generic but I didn’t realize it was this bad. They searched for "SF" on a stock logo site and rounded a couple corners and added the 6

Although as such the user did not show a purchase receipt that Capcom had purchased the logo from Adobe’s image bank, he did show a screenshot for an image described as “SF FS Letter logo design vector template.” The resemblance to the logo of Street Fighter 6Needless to say, it’s remarkable.

“I don’t even know what to say. I knew it was generic, but I didn’t think it would be that bad. They should have looked up ‘SF’ on a generic logo site and rounded some corners and added a six,” @Aurich said on Twitter.

He even satirized that anyone could create a video game with names like Street Guardians, Street Puncherz, Street Crash, and others, using other variants of the logo that Capcom would have used.

Ready to make your own fighting game called Street Guardians, Street Puncherz, Street Crash, Street Heist, Street Smashers, or Street Assault?

Good news, I’ve got your logo ready! Only $80, it’s a steal pic.twitter.com/XC7qeFqu2U

Capcom did not reveal any further details about the features of Street Fighter 6 or the consoles for which it will be available, and although we trust that it will be a compliant video game and at the height of the series, Capcom could definitely try a little more.
