National Highway No. 4, Taichung Ring Road, Fengyuantanzi section, this morning (16th), the opening ceremony was personally presided over by Executive Premier Su Zhenchang. In her speech, Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan repeatedly thanked Su Zhenchang for giving this great gift to the citizens of Taichung before the Chinese New Year. Su Zhenchang also especially thanked Lu Xiuyan for standing up for the Executive Yuan’s ruling team to speak justice when rumors of cabinet reshuffle continued. I feel very warm.
Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan and Legislative Yuan Vice President Cai Qichang both attended the opening ceremony of National Highway No. 4 Fengyuan Tanzi. After the election of the mayor, the two met in public for the first time. They exchanged polite greetings, but there was not much interaction; On the right, standing beside Su Zhenchang.
National Highway No. 4, Fengyuantanzi Section, is 11 kilometers long, and the entire cost is 30.487 billion, which is borne by the central government. When Lu Xiuyan delivered a speech, she repeatedly thanked Su Zhenchang for her strong support for this construction, and did not forget to mention Cai Qichang, Vice President of the Legislative Yuan.
Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan said, “Thank you, Dean Su, for bringing a major New Year’s gift to the Greater Central Region before the New Year, which is the opening of the Fengtan section of our National Highway. Besides the Executive Yuan, I would also like to thank the Legislative Yuan, Vice-President Cai Jiang Qichen, and member Yang Qiongying.”
Due to the low public opinion after the election of the Democratic Progressive Party, outsiders demanded that Su Zhenchang’s cabinet be reshuffled and stepped down. However, Lu Xiuyan recently took the initiative to speak well for Su Zhenchang’s team. Su Zhenchang also took advantage of this occasion to thank her especially.
Premier Su Zhenchang mentioned, “I would like to thank Mayor Lu for speaking out for the central government’s ruling team when asked by reporters 5 days ago, which made all the colleagues in the central government feel warm. Fengyuan Tanzi Section of National Highway No. 4, after the official opening to traffic on the 16th, connects the large Taichung circular high-speed road network, the Fengshi Interchange at the east end, crosses the mountainous area southward, and connects to Taiwan 74 through the tunnel and the Tanzi Interchange Wire. The mountains, the sea, and the village are connected in series, effectively relieving the traffic in Greater Taichung.
