DETROIT – It’s hard to know what’s more interesting, watching Eugenio Suárez’s footwork skills on Saturday against the Tigers, or the fact that it’s not the first time he’s done it.
On a 1-1 count in the top of the second inning, Tigers starter Alex Faedo threw a slider along the ground, which catcher Eric Haase couldn’t catch. The ball bounced in the direction of Suárez.
When he was going to his foot, the Venezuelan kicked the ball in his direction, beginning to dominate it in the best soccer style. He did it a couple of times before taking the ball out of circulation.
