WINDISCHGARSTEN. The Musikverein Windischgarsten organized its annual autumn concert under the direction of Kapellmeisterin Claudia Sobolik. A great strength of the music association is the youth work and so this year the young band “JuMuKap” started again. Gerlinde Reitmann and her young musicians created a good atmosphere in advance.
After a two-year concert break, the musicians of the Musikverein finally had the opportunity to present their skills again. The hall was filled to the last seat and so the protagonists showed that they had not forgotten it – quite the opposite. The quite demanding pieces, such as the overture to the operetta “Waldmeister” by Johann Strauss, “Birdland” by Joe Zawinul, the “Graf Zeppelin March” and many other pieces from a wide variety of musical genres demanded every single register of the orchestra. At the end of the concert, the audience rose from their seats and acknowledged the performance of the proud musicians with minutes of applause.
After the concert, many visitors and musicians came together for a joint debriefing, which was accompanied by the Bosruckmusi until the early hours of the morning. The Musikverein – above all chairman Robert Rebhandl – would like to thank all visitors as well as all patrons and helpers very much, without them it would not be possible to let such concerts take place.
