‘Chungju Dam (Cheongpung Lake) No. 3 Floating Solar Power’ utilizes the space near the Cheongpung Lake No. 1 floating solar power plant as part of the Korea Water Resources Corporation’s efforts to spread eco-friendly water and energy to respond to accelerating climate change and realize a carbon-neutral society. Therefore, it is a project to additionally install 2.6 MW of floating solar power.
Korea Water Resources Corporation predicts that it will be possible to produce 3462MWh of clean energy that can be used by about 1,400 households through this, and since no fine dust or greenhouse gas is generated during power generation, it reduces carbon by 1581 tons per year and substitutes for imports of about 6,000 barrels of crude oil. also looking forward to

The Cheongpung Lake No. 3 floating solar power plant is even more noteworthy in that it was the first project of the Korea Water Resources Corporation to be promoted through proposals from local residents.
The Jecheon-si Hansu-myeon Fishery Self-Regulatory Community proposed a project to expand the positive effects such as an increase in the number of fry and an increase in tourists around the floating structure experienced through the first floating solar power case of Cheongpung Lake in 2019. this started
