Shimla: Sukhwinder Singh Sukh will take oath as Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh today. The oath will be taken at 12 noon in Shimla. Leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will participate in the event. Governor R. V Arlekar will take the oath.

Sukhwinder Singh Sukh will be sworn in as Chief Minister and Mukesh Agnihotri as Deputy Chief Minister today. Cabinet development will take place later. Apart from Mallikarjun Kharge, celebrities including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will attend the function. The leaders met former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur in person and invited him to the swearing-in ceremony. It is the first time since 2018 that a Congress Chief Minister has taken oath in the country. Therefore, the leaders and workers decided to make the ceremony a grand celebration.

In Sukhwinder’s own constituency, Nadaun, huge celebrations were held late into the night. A section is unhappy that PCC president Pratibha Singh was not made the Chief Minister. It is hinted that Pratibha Singh’s son Vikramaditya Singh will be given an important department.
