It’s the time for sunglasses. In my photos you can see me wearing sunglasses more often than in previous months. Even though most people on Instagram wear sunglasses every day, I am one of those sunglass wearers who only wear this trendy accessory when the sun is shining. I know wearing sunglasses is supposedly “cool”, but at 50+ I’m making my own decisions about whether I’m cool or need sunscreen.

How do I recognize my face shape?
If you’re still unsure what face shape you have, I’ve put together some simple tips on how to recognize your face shape. There’s an easy way to find out quickly. Let’s start with your mobile phone. Take a selfie and simply draw the outline of your face shape on the picture – you already have the solution to the shape of your face. If you don’t have a cell phone or prefer another solution, then stand in front of your mirror and use the eyebrow pencil to trace the shape of your face in the mirror.
My tips for the right sunglasses should make your decision-making easier. Of course, your personal taste, your individual color type and your preferences for sunglasses must always be taken into account. There are eyewear stores where you can try out a number of models yourself without having to buy glasses straight away.
What face shapes are there?
We are talking about four different face shapes, namely the round, the oval, the rectangular and the heart-shaped face.

The square face – which glasses go with it?
The square face shape is characterized by a broad and prominent forehead. The cheekbones are also a prominent feature. The forehead, cheekbones and jaw are almost the same width. Round or oval glasses are beneficial to soften the face shape. It is important that the angular facial features are optically refined.
The heart-shaped face – which glasses go with it?
A clear characteristic of a heart-shaped face is the broad forehead and the narrowing chin. The chin looks more pointed than rounded. The forehead is usually the widest part of the face.
Aviator glasses go particularly well with this face shape. Glasses with a slight cat-eye shape also look advantageous.
