Released in the mid 90s on Super Nintendo, SUPER MARIO RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, has long been the dream of European gamers, the game having only been released in the United States and Japan at a time when consoles were zoned. Available years later on Virtual Consoles from Nintendo, the game has never lost its status as a mythical game. Fruit of the ultimate collaboration of Square and of Nintendo before their long “separation”, SUPER MARIO RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is a very accessible and technical game that remains, more than 25 years after its release, still as exciting and visually enchanting. The announcement at the last Nintendo Direct (dont you can find all the details HERE) of the arrival of its remake on Nintendo Switch however, is very good news. A whole new generation of players will thus be able to discover it and the oldest will be able to confront their memories, not to mention that the title will finally benefit from a complete localization in French.
During the Nintendo Direct, a trailer has been published, offering a first glimpse of the game and its graphical bias quite far from the pixel art of the original game (combining 2D and 3D). In the aftermath, GameXplain posted a video comparing the images of the two versions, Super Nintendo et Nintendo Switch, allowing to better appreciate (or not) the differences. Find this video below.
