Super Smash Bros won’t be at EVO

We strongly expected it, it’s now official, Super Smash Bros Ultimate will not be part of the greatest fighting game championship in the world. They are the organizers of the EVO who announced it this weekend via their account Twitter. This is the first time in fifteen years that the license of Versus Fighting from Nintendo will be absent from this great competitive scene. This surprising decision might be explained by the fact that the EVO was bought by Sony on mars 2021. It is thus plausible that Nintendo does not wish to contribute to the success of an event now organized by a direct adversary. Moreover, it should be remembered that, in November 2021the organism PandaGlobalcompetitor de the EVOannounced a partnership with Nintendo America to bring in 2022 an official North American circuit supported by the licenses of Nintendo.
