Los supermarkets are increasingly essential for Chileans, since andIn them you can find a greater variety of products and sometimes at a lower cost than in other food storeswhich is why they are extremely important for citizens.
Due to this, sales in these establishments reached more than 15 billion pesos between October 2020 and October 2021which makes it a key economic activity in the country, contributing 4.1% of the Bruno Domestic Product (GDP)in the same period, and employing 181 thousand people in this area, according to the Chilean Supermarket Association.
In our country there are 1,335 establishments dedicated to marketing these products, which are divided into these main supermarkets: Lider, Tottus, Unimarc, Mayoristas 10, Jumbo and Santa Isabel.
Each of these chains has its own hours from Monday to Sunday, which may vary depending on holidays, inalienable holidays or contingency. This will be reported through different official channels of the aforementioned businesses.
