As part of the patriotic action “Our Heroes” and in honor of Children’s Day, an exhibition of drawings was held in the branch of the fund. The children portrayed their fathers, older brothers, mothers, and also drew pictures dedicated to their native nature.
As part of the action “Greetings from the front!” the children prepared letters and postcards with words of support for the fighters, watched the recordings of the response video messages of the NVO participants to the letters sent earlier.
Chairman of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivileva noted that such events help NMD veterans and their families feel the support and attention of society.
– We are united in the fact that everyone should be surrounded by care, and a sense of pride should be formed in society for those people who defended and are defending Russia today. Such events make it possible to give fighters and their families genuine emotions and make sure that no one feels forgotten,” said Anna Tsivileva.
Head of the Committee of families of soldiers of the Fatherland Julia Belekhova emphasized the importance of feedback for participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families.
– In order to regularly support the participants of the special military operation and their mothers, wives, sisters, children, it is important not a formal approach, but physical participation, when there is an opportunity to come, say important words, find out what difficulties families face and what help is needed, – noted Yulia Belekhova.
Head of the fund’s branch in the Krasnodar Territory Alexander Starovoitov noticed that the branch had already started work today and met the first wards of the fund.
– The first working day of the fund coincided with Children’s Day. In addition to assistance in obtaining medical and social rehabilitation of veterans, psychological assistance, one of the main tasks of the foundation is the organization of public projects. Such events allow us to communicate directly with veterans and their families,” said Alexander Starovoitov.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of a state fund to support participants in the special military operation “Defenders of the Fatherland” on April 3, 2023. The main goal of the fund is personal social support for veterans of the Northern Military District and assistance in obtaining all the necessary support measures. These are medical and social rehabilitation, drug provision, psychological assistance and sanatorium-and-spa treatment. The fund will also assist in the retraining and employment of veterans. For personal support of the wards, the foundation has prepared social coordinators who will help the defenders of the Fatherland on all issues that arise.
The Fund’s Supervisory Board is headed by the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergei Kirienko. The Fund’s Supervisory Board includes heads of federal ministries and departments, representatives of public and veteran organizations, war correspondents and journalists.
